Synthetic Resins & Polymers Manufacturing

Synthetic resin and polymer manufacturing involves the chemical synthesis of high-molecular-weight polymers, including saturated/unsaturated polyester resins, polyamide resins, and specialized acrylic polymers such as acrylic polyols, thermosetting acrylic resins, and thermoplastic acrylic resins. Unlike simple resin blending or physical compounding, this process centers on highly complex chemical reactions—principally polycondensation and free-radical solution polymerization—utilizing hazardous petrochemical raw materials, monomers (such as styrene, phthalic anhydride, methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate, and di-isocyanates), and volatile organic solvents.

Our Specialized Services (Since 1990)

With over three decades of experience, San Envirotech provides a "Cradle-to-Grave" compliance roadmap for the Synthetic Resins and Polymers industry.

I. Pre-Operational Services (Planning & Approval Phase)

  • Site Suitability & Due Diligence: Assessing prospective real estate locations against MoEF&CC siting criteria, ensuring strict conformity regarding distance from eco-sensitive zones, protected forests, and major water basins.
  • EIA & Public Hearing Management: Conducting rigorous environmental baseline studies (Ambient Air, VOC tracking, Groundwater, Soil, and Noise) and defending the technical merits of the project during mandated Public Consultations.
  • Design of ETP/STP/MEE/APCM: Designing specialized Effluent Treatment Plants featuring Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) for monomer detoxification, combined with Multi-Effect Evaporators (MEE) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) for Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD), alongside multi-stage alkali and carbon scrubbing systems for VOC containment.

II. Operational Services (Compliance & Optimization)

  • CCA/CTO Renewals & Amendments: Managing the streamlined renewal of operating licenses and anchoring technical amendments for "Change in Product Mix" to enable rapid shifts between polyester, polyamide, and acrylic resin grades within sanctioned pollution thresholds.
  • Hazardous Waste Management (Form 4 & 10): Providing rigorous engineering protocols for the collection, indoor storage, and safe co-processing/disposal of distillation residues, off-specification polymer cakes, spent filtration media, and biological treatment sludges.
  • Environmental Audits & Statements: Executing annual Environmental Audits (Form V), utilizing detailed monomer-to-polymer mass balance calculations to optimize raw material yields and minimize process waste indices.

III. Strategic Regulatory Guidance

  • Liaison & Representation: Leveraging 35+ years of professional rapport with regulatory panels to deliver precise technical representations before State Level Expert Appraisal Committees (SEAC) or the central MoEF&CC Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC).
  • Legal Defense & Show Cause Support: Compiling empirical operational evidence, emission testing histories, and corrective engineering designs to provide robust technical defenses against SPCB show-cause directives or closure notices.

Why San Envirotech?

Synthetic resin and polymer units operate under intense regulatory scrutiny due to volatile monomer hazards, stubborn organic wastewater emulsions, and strict Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) mandates for VOC control. Our deep-rooted history in this sector ensures that your facility is designed for compliance, operated for safety, and shielded from regulatory risks.
